At Milestone Counseling, we believe that the therapeutic relationship (the partnership between therapist and client) is one of the most important components of effective therapy. In fact, research has proven this in numerous studies.

Family Systems Therapy

Child Counseling

Our child counseling services are designed to meet the unique emotional, social, and behavioral needs of children in a compassionate and supportive environment. Teen Counseling

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most effective types of therapy. CBT helps us recognize the connection between unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behaviors and empowers us to make changes in our negative thought patterns to improve how we feel. This is empowering because it doesn’t rely on things outside our control. Every therapist at Milestone Counseling has extensive training in CBT.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help individuals develop essential skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and coping with distress. By focusing on emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness, DBT empowers individuals to navigate complex emotions and behaviors more effectively. This therapy is particularly beneficial for those struggling with mood disorders, self-destructive behaviors, or difficulties in relationships. Several of our Milestone therapists are trained in DBT. We also have one therapist who is trained in DBT-C or DBT for children

ERP or Exposure and Response Prevention

ERP or Exposure and Response Prevention is the gold standard in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). ERP designed to help individuals manage and reduce compulsive behaviors and intrusive thoughts. Using structured and proven strategies, our approach empowers clients to regain control over their daily lives by addressing the underlying patterns of OCD. Our goal is to support individuals in breaking free from the cycle of OCD, fostering long-term mental well-being and improved quality of life.

Trauma and PTSD Therapy

We help clients process and recover from trauma using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to promote healing and emotional resilience.
